Nigerian Email Scam gets all "Web 2.0"
James Wright wants to share his Shutterfly photos
The Nigerian email spammers/scammers just won't quit.
Well, this latest email is from Bolivia, actually. So, technically it's not a Nigerian email scam. But, it still includes the famous "I'm happy to inform you about my success in getting those funds transferred..." opening line we've all come to know and love. I still ask myself - "Does anybody ever contact these people to claim their $800,000.00?"
Today, the spammers/scammers have stepped it up - they've sort of gone "Web 2.0" in an effort to get their message to you. How? By sharing their Shutterfly photos with you! They've even gone so far as to add a glorious photo of the would-be James Wright (or, it might be his secretary Mr. Ikechu... it doesn't specify).

(click on the image for a screenshot of the email)
I'm not sure if the link to Shutterfly will still work, but if you're curious you can check out the message and maybe order a few prints of James in his lovely wig.
I think I'm springing for an 8x10 and a few wallets.
On a side note - you'd figure that with all their riches, they could afford a decent digital camera instead of scanning in this department store pic.
